ROAR!!! I'm back!

Ytd's football was great! however, i'm really starting to doubt where my best position is now, issit holding midfield or right mid? i can make tackles yet also take on defenders. Hack, as long as i play well, anywhere will do for me. Alittle bit tired now, and my back is feeling unwell. abit stiff. all thanks to melvin's life threatening tackle! what a way to treat ur friend cum neighbour ar!!!!

Away from football. watched some cartoon network just now. Mandy from Grim&Evil made a classic statement: U can pick ur friend, pick ur nose, but u cannot pick ur friend's nose! lol, its funny how I can find pleasure in watching cartoons! my goodness, i've yet to catch TMNT( teenage mutant ninja turtles)! Cowabunga! (Anw, i love Michaelangelo - his ultra funny)

shld i watch England later? since there's no classes tmr, maybe. I gotta support Rooney when he needs it the most. GO ROONEY! NO DOUBTERS CAN PUT YOU DOWN!WE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF!

I SO MISS U

Wow. I had a busy weekend...

Saturay - 24th MArch
Was planning the BE script on saturday with Daniel and Adrian. Im from Sony... promoting my newly developed PS3 to Adrian, the product manager of Challenger IT store. Daniel came up with the script while we edited it. Went to Funan with daniel to get his 1GB USB drive. He wanted to buy a sony thumbdrive that cost 46 bucks but ended buying an Imation one which is 20 bucks cheaper. we walked around the whole of funan including Adrian's company, Challenger. What caught my attention in Challenger was the game Medieval: Total War, reminded me of the show 300! its the best battle stimulator u can ever lay ur hands on. If im not wrong, u have the Cartilage's elephants, the Roman's spartan phalanxs and the persian's immortals. Basically you have the elite forces of the different civilisiations. I used to have the game Rome: Toal War and the Spartan phalanxs are totally imba, good in offense and impenetrable when defending. back to my date with daniel. so after Funan, we went to Penisula Plaza to get my shin guards and socks for Sunday's match. Thought of investing in a pair of shin guards for future matches. it is said that: 工欲善其事必先利其器 (it means that if you want to have ur job done, u must first have ur tools...something like that..lol). decided to get a pair of shining gold shin guards - perhaps they can blind my opponents when im on the ball...lol... and got a pair of white long socks. it is said that woman have shopping sprees when they have that impulse and urge to do so, but man only shops when they NEED something - so after getting our stuffs, we hurried back (no excessive window shopping). Threw my stuffs aside when i reached home, had my dinner, bathed and drop dead on my bed after making my bedtime prayer..

Sunday - 25th March
Super tired... only had a couple of hrs of sleep. like 4 hrs? woke up at 6am in the morning! for most of u who dunnoe, i have a habit praying immediately when i wake up - even before i leave my bed. but today's prayer was abit longer. prayed for a clean match, and for the strength to cope through a tough day. i wanted to be less agrressive since our opponents are generally guys who are in their late 30s and early forties - they have families to support. basically, im mentally prepared! packed my bag and off i go to SRJC.

Amazing enough, I was the 5th player to reach in my team! Noah, Sunni, Benson and Ashly were already there. i think we waited for like half and hour before the whole team arrives. Our opponents reach way earlier than us, they already had the full team ready b4 9am. Our team was only ready by 920. alittle paiseh right? hack, perhaps thats what u get when ur team is newly assembled. the funny thing is - the referee was also waiting for our team to arrive... And so it begins.. the match kicked off. Im in my favourite holding midlfielder role. after 10 mins, we conceded our 1st goal, 1-0 down. But after 15 minutes of hardwork, we are back on level terms, sunni with a flying volley form just outside the box, what a cracker! 1-1. unfortunately, we conceded the 2nd goal only minutes after the restart. dissapointment. the defense was abit nervy, offside traps malfunctioning.. just before the break, we gave away our third. 3-1 down.

beep~ beep~~~~~ half time.

arghh.... greatly dissapointed.. i wasnt playing like myself, Noah told me to give commands like i usually does, but i was quiet through out the game. my tackles were half hearted, it lacked conviction in getting the ball. my passing was still okay, but the presence wasnt really there. i made 1 crucial tackle and thats about it... Paul~~~ ur supposed to dominate the midfield... not merely being a passer-by.. Ashly came up to me and said: play like u usually does, dun be overly-agressive and not too laid back, just play like how u usually play. was i too afraid to put my tackles in? i was asking myself alot of questions during the half time break.

Second half started, its not long before we conceded our forth and I subbed out for Noah at the 70th minute. didnt quite recover from the dissapointment of first half. second half for me was normal, but the defense was abit better. still, the midfield and the defense lacked communication. watched the remainder of the second half from the bench and Im having that feeling that had desserted me for a long time - the feeling of not giving my best. No conviction. No passion and No determination. disgusted* anw, I didnt want to think so much, just made a promise to God and myself, I will give my ultimate best the next time i touch that ball again.

But for blooper of the game --- roughly 10 mins thru the 2nd half, I was running with the ball, beat 3 defending players and almost collided with a - BEE (Yes a Honey BEE)! the bee flew so close to my ear that i cld possibly hear the sound of its wings flapping. its like arghh!!! i tried to wave at the bee (my natural reaction), hoping it would aviod my ear 'hole'. SO U CAN ACTUALLY SEE A PLAYER RUNNING WITH THE BALL AND MAKING WAVING ACTIONS TRYING TO WARD OFF A BEE.. amazingly, i managed to retain the ball on my feet. LOLz.... a paiseh moment for me.

After the match.. i had to cab home due to serious time constraint. Working at Jurong point at 2! bathed and rushed to work asap. not a moment of rest for me. when it seem that im going to be late, the lrt and mrt came also immdeiately for me ( no waiting time!) Really thank God for that! its super amazing lahz.... reached JP at 2pm. Worked with Elsa till she leaves at 3pm and im all alone. Shagged. mentally and physically exhausted. the thought of facing the BE script and Personal Selling Report freaks me out. realised something - I STILL HAVE ALOT OF UNFINISHED BUSINESS!! finished work at 6pm when james came to replace me. hurried my butt home.

shall not elaborate on how i went on to finish my BE and PS report. I finished all my stuff at 2.30am. ITS BEEN A LONG DAY~ from 6am all the way till 2am - 2o hrs of non-stop action! Tiring yet fruitful.

Thank You, ur grace sustains me!

This week is going to be mixed week. good and bad. bad because its going to be a boring international football week.... wah sian. No Man utd, all england matches. yawn~~ this is going be sick. Cheng de, if ur reading this, i recommend u to watch england matches if u have difficulties in sleeping... lol. Ultra effective 1. 11 world-class players = ultra boring long balls? no wonder its said: too many cooks spoil the broth. perhaps what England really need, is a brazillian coach.

now to the good part. will be meeting with my JC friends for lunch on saturday! weeee... haha, a long long time since i last met up with the guys from the class although i do meet up with wei ting sometimes. occasionally i will see some of them in town, but meeting for a lunch will be perfect. Thank Goodness im not working on saturday. Wei ting say the girls will be there, so the WHOLE CLASS will be there! amazing. hope to get Chuu Jye to go, i think wei ting misses him...lolz

secondly, im invited to play for Noah's team on sunday! (maybe we can call the team 'Noah's Ark') playing a full 90 minute match at srjc. the field at srjc is rather good, its soft unlike the turf pitch at St Wilfred. defenders will understand the agony of playing at a dry synthetic pitch. its time to flex some leg muscles and start getting fit again. told to play defensive mid, and the reason is - as Noah said - the team needs a DESTROYER?? the only thing im going to destroy on sunday, is our clean sheet. lol. just kidding!

After watching the movie 300, i would really like to write a 300 page review on it. haha, its no exaggeration k, the movie is the best i have watched since LOTR and Narnia. King Leonidas is THE MAN, the epitome of courage and bravery. the tagline - Prepare for Glory - is not a right one for the movie. It should be - Prepare for GORY instead, lol, u get what i mean? yes, the movie is gory, but it is so real. and because of the movie, i came up with some verses to encourage people, one example is the word: Spartan Balls! its created for Daniel to remind him of the courage of the spartans that would be a help to him, lolz. but Eunice, please dun ever say the words 'Spartan balls' anymore! it sounds soooo corny when that words come out of ur mouth and it invokes major laughter in me..lolz

Hopefully this week will be a fruitful week. and i anticipate a fantabulous april.
April will be action-packed. Good Friday is gonna be the HIGHLIGHT of the year, we will be celebrating and feasting away! with the EPL title run-in on the line, the champions league quater and semi-finals coming up, what more can a football fan ask for? not forgetting the KL trip and all the chalets that might be coming up.

some quotations to inspire u from the movie 300.
'A new age has come: an age of freedom. And all will know that 300 Spartans gave their last breath to defend it' - King Leonidas

'The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and before this battle was over, that even a god-king can bleed.' - King Leonidas

Stelios: It is an honor to die by your side
Leonidas: It is an honor to have lived at yours.

its been a long time since i updated
my legs are malfunctioning due to intensive footballing.. the footballitis is back! i wonder if there's a term called 'selective dynamiclism'??? becuase i seem to be the most determined and dynamic 'me' when im on that pitch. cannot help but give my 110% on that field, it seem as though i have no control but to release all my energy on that ball. chasing down every loose ball and tracking back to make every tackle and interceptions, i can run and run and run for 2 full hours without realsiing it. Its like a phenomenon. i have absolutely no idea where that energy came from, u have to be 'me' to really feel it. Indeed, God gave me a passion for football.

as i grow older, i began to understand myself more and how God plays a part in my life. People who know me long enough will know that im not a religious person, im more of a 'relational' one. I cannot believe in a God blindly (just bcus people say so) without clearly defined reasons. I tend to think alot, and ask alot and To me, believing in God is a spritual question as well as an intellectual one. I mean how can a rational God create irrational Men? It is only logical that a rational God created rational men - men that seeks and think (logically) about their beginning and their purpose in this world(how they came about)... look around yourself, people are searching for the origins of life, they are making sense of their exsitence in this good earth, they created many religions that a God or many gods are involved in. why are we so curious? perhaps in each and everyone of us, there is a spiritual magnet that draws us to Him.

When i was a new believer this verse sticked with me. John 8:32 - 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." It was Jesus who urged me to seek the truth - because only the truth is not afraid to be revealed. Only the truth can stand the testing of time. The only reason why Christianity is still embraced by the majority of this world, of the educated and thinking men, is simply this - its the truth.
