KL

Good day! Its Good Friday!
Ah the KL trip. Due to my excitement abt Good Friday, i've forgotten to update abt the KL trip.

in simplified english, KL means Kuala Lumpur. lol... lame.. (just a stupid comment to get myself started). its abit difficult for me to start typing as i dun really know where to start. Nvm, i'll anyhow start anyway -.-

We(Dan, yw, cath, qy, meihui, alex, eunice and me) went to KL together. 7 Singaporean and a Malaysian. We went there by train. yesh, its KMT train (don't ask me what that stands 4, bcus i have no idea too). We boarded the train at JB at around 930. the ride is 7hrs long and i managed to listen through over 70 worship songs. wah, still so amazed as i recalled it. as we alight at KL, i changed 100 SGD to 226 RM. All i can say is that my 1st impression of KL is not very good. It was raining like mad and the drainage system is poor, so i got my shoes all wet. however, the experience was different from what u get in Singapore. KL has its own monorail, mini train and lots of other transports and i got the chance to hop onto some of them. and its a great joy for me to experience something new!

So we checked in to the hotel room. Wow, its incredibly huge, theres a master bed room and a guest room. One king sized bed and 2 Queen sized beds. the guys took the guest room. my first impression was - wah! so big! so comfy! when ur expectation < actual performance, ur satisfied =) lol. The first night was spent in the Chinatown of KL and we had BAKUTEH for dinner. ultra fattening, but hack, thats what vacations are abt - eating without caring for the consequences! After dinner was a series of shopping sprees as we went around Chinatown's flea market. lots of fake and replicas, and pple are trying to cheat every dollar u have until u negotiates with them. didnt buy anything, afriad to be conned. lol, funny things happened. I had 2 vendors calling me Superman bcus of the T-shirt i was wearing, and Yw tried to confirm if i was the real deal by trying to check out the colour of my underwear (his idea is - superman wear red undies)! haha, his actions had me, himself and the vendor laughing out loud. after all the shopping, we went to our hotel. the rest went back to bath while yw, qy, daniel and me went to check out for interesting things we can do at Times square (the shopping center and the hotel we were staying in). We found out that we can actually: enjoy the indoor theme park, watch a movie, play bowling and sing a song a K-lounge. the four of us decided to suggest watching the movie Stomp the Yard to the rest who went back. After all 8 of us finished bathing, we caught the 1140 show. the show was fantastic. i would recommend it to everyone. After the movie, its Good night to everyone.

The second day was a fruitful one. not only did we went to Sungei Wang (also known as the far east of KL), we also managed to climb the tallest twin-towers in the world, the Petronas. i bought a couple of t-shirts from Sungnei wang and a nike khaki short at Times Square. cabbed down to petronas at 6pm to catch the tour. we reached at 615 due to some major traffic jam, but just in time to catch the last tour. Firstly, we were each issued a pair of 'sunglasses' to watch the 3D show abt the Petronas towers. the show is kinda boring, it nearly put me to sleep. after the show, its the main event. the tour guide took us up to the 41st floor via a fast speed lift. for ur info, it travels at 5m/s. The place that we were brought to is actually a bridge that links the two towers. its uber cold and u can see the rain pelting down to the ground beneath. its a great view from above, something u dun see everyday. the whole petronas tour took 20 minutes. to me, thats soooo short! u dun get to enjoy the scenery enuff -.- anywayz, we thought of going to the fairy's wheel until the traffic jam and the heavy rain demolished that idea. so after the petronas, we cabbed back to our hotel to have dinner. Had some Hong Kong food before we go on a shopping spree again. didnt buy antyhing though, except for some cheese cakes on our way back to the hotel. we bathed and when the as the rest retired, eunice, dan and me were talking abt lots of things.. yeah, more personal stuffs. abt our opinions on certain things... yup.. its great to talk abt deeper things, rather than the material world and superficial things. we were created for that. For personnal and deeper relationships. we slept at 430am, at the sofa in the living room.

The next day, i woke up at 10am to find that everyone except dan and me had went to swim.. as we waited for the rest to return, dan and me packed our stuff. we are supposed to check out at 12 noon.

when 12 came, we were all ready to check out. we left our bags with the hotel as we go for the.... INDOOR THEME PARK!! haha... perhaps the highlight of my KL trip. The roller coaster seems to be anything but safe...-.- i can imagine fallng off that and everyone attending my funeral back in Singapore. LOLz. the theme park is called Kosmos World(if im not wrong). for 25Rm we get to enjoy unlimited rides! first we went to the modified pirate ship ( dunnoe how to call it, lolz), ur bascially 'belted' to a seat and the machine will give u 10 full swings. and when u are at the top of the swing, its as if u are abt to fall off ur seat. thats the thrilling part. the ride was fun, the first 2 rounds were exceptionally thrilling. the next ride was a....a.... spinning elevator?? LOLz, lame u may think, but tats what exactly our next ride is abt. the previous ride was a 360 spin vertiaclly, but this one is a 360 degree spin on the side. the machine elevates u to abt 3 storey high and starts to spin u from the side(horizontally). And to me, this is the most thrilling one, bcus im afraid of HEIGHTS... LOLz. our 3rd ride is a modified mary-go-around. but this one is travelling at lightning speed. its as thougn someone is holding onto u and swinging u at 100km/h. this ride is certinly not for the faint-hearted, its vomit-inducing! and for my case, its bone crushing too, bcus my partner for the ride is Eunice, and she was literally crushing me throughout the ride! HAHAz. next we went on to the - ROLLER COASTER. yesh, what i was looking forward to. we waited abt 10 minutes before everything was ready. and the ride only lasted for abt a couple of minutes. all i can say the ride was OK, not as thrilling as i thought i wld be. that brings us back to the theory of Expectation vs actual performance. after the roller coaster ride, we played the bumper cars and some kiddy rides before we zao. all in all, it was an amazing experience. the 8 of us collected our stuff and cabbed back to putrajaya to get our lunch - the ANW(someting u dun have in Sg already). this time round, we took bus home. and i must say this: taking bus is a more economic, comfortable and a faster way as compared to train rides! bus is recommended.. as the most rational way to get to KL from Sg. reached Sg at 930, cabbed home with Dan and cath. super tired.

what i felt abt the KL trip? It was fun.. real fun. enjoyed myself. a big thank you to everyone who was there( dan, cath, eunice,yw,qy,mh,alex) and to everyone who made this trip possible - esp Dad and Mom for believing tat ur son is big enuff to take care of himself already.. lolz.

Thank you Lord! words cannot describe how much i appreciate ur love.. ur saving grace and providance, it sustains me. I will worship u forevermore!

Its Good Friday, and its Good night to everyone!
